St. John’s, Nl.
As part of a lining contract within Irving Oil’s fuel storage facility in St. John’s, NL, & under sub contract with Pennecon Heavy Civil, (4) 250mm steel casing needed to be installed without excavation to ensure the integrity of the 6m dyke around the tank farm would not be compromised.
After a month of failed attempts from a competitor and a construction schedule that was about to bottleneck, MDL was contracted to complete the project. Our Air ram package (AR8), welding rig & 13,000lb drilling rig were mobilized.
Upon completion of all site orientations, work commenced immediately and continued for 14 consecutive days to over come project specific challenges. After the successful installations of the steel casings, the casings were cleaned of debris to house the dyke drainage infrastructure.
Pipe ramming.
